In the next few articles we aim to give you a Leaderwork Wellbeing Boost by empowering you to think about your work contribution more kindly and smarter. Think kinder, feel smarter.

The key features of the Leaderwork concept are introduced. You will be guided through taking charge of understanding and sharing your overall work contribution using productive reflection techniques, tools and templates.
In addition to the descriptions in text several diagrams and templates are provided to enhance your understanding of the concepts and their application in your workplace. These adopt a professional development lens rather than a performance review approach. In legal workplaces there is a strong overlap between professional development and performance review.
This approach offers a means to counterbalance any prevailing messaging in your workplace about values, beliefs and behaviours when these are not contributing to better work. For example the effectiveness of performance reviews are too often limited by the organisation's culture.
Leaderwork and its tools and techniques provides an innovative means to engage in meaningful dialogue about what is working well. And should be validated. Whether or not it is visible and validated in the formal documentation of the organisation's culture.
Benefits for People and Culture
For enlightened organisations the tools provided in Leaderwork provide a fresh approach to engage in constructive conversations about the individual contributions made by your professional workers. And equips you to think afresh when provided with crucial data about the health of your working culture and the performance and wellbeing of your people.
It may also identify behaviours which target individuals whose motivation is to simply improve their work. These behaviours can at times amount to bullying.
Key concepts and tools are provided to use. These encourage you to actively consider the implications for yourself, your colleagues and your employer
This program introduces the original concept of Leaderwork. This explains one of the key findings by Dr Deborah Hann in her PhD "Lawyers Practising Learning; Reshaping Continuing Legal Education" (2007).
The concepts, method and tools have been refined over the past decade in consulting work to the point that they are generally applicable to many workplaces and professions.
